HOW WILL COMPANY CARE BE INTRODUCED TO MY EMPLOYEES?
Before a Company Care professional begins regular visits to a worksite, an orientation meeting is held to explain the benefits of the service, and/or a company-wide email/letter is sent to all employees. This information is similar in tone and function to other benefits orientation platforms.
DOES COMPANY CARE PROVIDE LONG-TERM COUNSELING SERVICES?
Company Care professionals do provide several sessions of emotional support for employees. These sessions are effective in stabilizing and re-directing the employee toward health and balance in his/her life. However, as soon as it is determined that long-term counseling is needed, the Company Care professional will guide the employee toward a suitable professional counselor either from the company’s insurance network or from our own referral network. Company Care professionals are experienced and well trained but are not necessarily licensed counselors.
HOW WILL COMPANY CARE INTERACT WITH MY MANAGEMENT TEAM AND HR?
The Company Care professional will regularly check in with the Human Resource Department for any concerns about an employee. For example, a death of a loved one could greatly impact an employee, and the Company Care professional’s care may greatly benefit the worker over the next number of days, weeks and months. Dealing with employees’ personal life issues can overwhelm a manager’s time, who may not feel adequately equipped to provide guidance. Company Care is a valuable resource that your HR managers can call in to assist your employees with delicate personal issues.
HOW ARE COMPANY CARE SERVICES FUNDED?
The employer pays a flat fee based on the number of employees served, making the cost predictable. There are no additional fees based on number of crisis interventions or hours of service. If a Company Care Representative officiates a funeral for an employee’s family, any fees collected would be agreed upon by the funeral service or the employee’s family.
